Daniel Thomas of Penylan dies

Daniel Thomas of Penylan, a contractor under Lord Bute and the owner of “valuable lime kilns at Llandough”, dies; his obituary appears in Tarian y Gweithiwr. In April 1888 a local man is described as “a labourer at Llandough Quarry”: the works beside the farm carry on.
